Welcome to the York Class Community Bible Study page.

We will be starting our 24th year in September 2026 and we cannot be more excited to be

studying Ephesians, 1st and 2nd Peter, and Joshua ( a 1st time offering for our York Class.).

The course descriptions are below.

We are also still welcoming anyone who wishes to come for the remaining weeks of Psalms.

Each week of study stands on its own, meaning it doesn't need previous lessons to know what is going on in each lesson.

We look forward to your visit and praying for your registration.

WHAT WE ARE STUDYING:

Psalms (30 weeks) - 2025/2026 is wrapping up but we will definitely welcome visitors

Community Bible Study members across the world will be studying the brand new study of Psalms for the 50th anniversary in

the 2025-2026 season. Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poems, songs, and prayers that come from different eras in Israel’s history.

EPHESIANS

Before the foundations of the world, God had His people in mind. In love, He chose,

forgave, and redeemed them. He adopted them to be His very own beloved children.

Ephesians tells the story of God’s eternal plan to unite people who had been estranged

from Him and one another into a beautiful community that reflects His glory to the

world and even to the spiritual realms. This study will guide participants to engage with

what it means to be reconciled to God, how that is possible, and the amazing benefits

God gives as a result. It will also give practical guidance for how to apply these eternal

truths to your everyday life.

1st and 2nd Peter

In these two letters, the apostle Peter offered encouragement to followers of Christ who

were living as exiles and being persecuted for their faith. These books exhort believers

to hope and godly living. They teach about godly relationships and warn about false

teachers. They point to Jesus as our example in suffering and faith, and remind us that

true security can be found only in God.

Joshua

The book of Joshua picks up where Deuteronomy leaves off. After leading the Israelites

out of Egypt and through 40 years of wanderings in the wilderness, Moses died. But

God remained faithful to His promise. He appointed Joshua to lead the Israelites into

the Promised Land, where they would at last find rest in a place of their own.

First day of class: September 17, 2026

Last day of class: May 6, 2027

We have an in person women with/without children, Women's online, and a remote Coed in person class sessions (details below)

York Day Class (In Person) meets on Thursdsays 9:15-11:15 am (with breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Who: Women Only with/without children (Nursery to Preschool Ages)

Children's ministry registration fills up quickly.

Evening Remote Core group (In Person)

Who: women and men, adult only

Where: Aldersgate Church 397 Tyler Run Road, York PA

When: Wednesday Evenings 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Start date September 23, 2026 (with breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Dedicated ON-Line Core Groups

Who: Women - adult only

Where : Online through ZOOM

When: Thursdays 9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m

Start date is September 17, 2026

CALLING ALL MEN!!!!!

Word of God.

Each class participant receives a course book/s with a commentary and home study questions.

Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching.

Next Gen Ministry

Through Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, craft, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment for children, where they can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Children's & Youth Ministry. Classes for school aged study the same Scripture as mom.
